One of our favorite frequently asked question is, “Do mind if we bring our dog to our photo shoot?”

Not only do we NOT mind, we would be SAD if you didn’t bring them! We’re used to and VERY familiar with the sweet, wild, rambunctious, unpredictable nature of dogs and fully WELCOME it!

Here are a few suggestions we put together so that you can that help our canine friends have the best Outer Banks beach photo experience possible:

1. Have a point person (for wedding or portraits) that can retrieve your pet once we’re finished taking photos with them.

2. Don’t worry if your dog(s) is super energetic when they first get to the beach & DON’T try to pose with them. Just love on them and play with them. The photos will take care of themselves!

3. Just a heads up, dogs need to be leashed on Cape Hatteras National Seashore, so you’ll want to bring a lead. *If you have a waste bag attached to the lead… it’s a good idea to take this off for the photos:)

4. Have a treat and water ready for when they’re done!

Meet the pullens

We were told that photography was a pipe dream and we should play it safe and go for traditional careers. That was over 20 years ago.

The best advice we've received is, "Show what you want to shoot." And that's what we've done here.

We hope it resonates and inspires you!
