As documentary wedding photographers, we believe EVERY DETAIL of our clients’ stories is important.

We ask a lot of questions before the wedding day to understand what makes it special to you. We want to know about your VIPs and why they’re important. We take time to understand your heart, your vision, and your choices, from aesthetics to relationships. This helps us photograph your unique beach wedding in a way that honors the time, commitment, and people you’ve chosen to share these special moments with.

We were thrilled to hear from Outer Banks bride, Liz, when she received her Hatteras Island wedding photography gallery, including photos of her two best guys getting ready.

“Thank you so much for these amazing photos! I couldn’t be happier looking back on every single special moment that was captured. I am forever thankful for the work you did!! Everything and more I ever wanted!”

THESE are the details that inspire us.

They’re the substance, the backbone that everything else in your Outer Banks wedding day is built on… the REASON you gathered to celebrate.

That isn’t to say that the aesthetic details of the scene aren’t important also. It’s all incredibly important, so how do we, as documentary photographers, photograph all of the little details you’ve meticulously prepared? Stay tuned for our next wedding blog post, where we’re going to show you exactly how we creatively highlight the scene within your authentic moments.

Meet the pullens

We were told that photography was a pipe dream and we should play it safe and go for traditional careers. That was over 20 years ago.

The best advice we've received is, "Show what you want to shoot." And that's what we've done here.

We hope it resonates and inspires you!
